“HETEROGENEOUS MATERIAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL PLATFORM FOR A NEW DOMAIN OF POWER NANOELECTRONICS”

The project called NANOMAT is a European project for the development of innovative flexible power RF nanoelectronics for SatCom antennas and radar applications (HORIZON-CL4-2022-RESILIENCE-01-10; Project n° 101091433).

OBJECTIVES

blankFlexible electronics have been around for several decades and are the basis for electronic devices in applications that require bending, rolling, folding, and stretching, properties that cannot be fulfilled by conventional electronics.

NANOMAT proposed a new domain of “Flexible power RF nanoelectronics”, an innovative heterogeneous technological platform comprising material and fabrication novelties in carbon-based electronics and thermoelectric, wide band gap semiconductor based MMICs, RF MEMS and acoustic sensors. The concept will be demonstrated through two prototypes: a flexible electronic scanning antenna for satellite IoT applications and a fully monolithic flexible power RF transceiver for next generation avionic radars at X-band.
