RF Microtech has been awarded a new ESA ARTES AT project entitled COKKO ‘COmpact Ku/Ka-band filters for On-board processor-based payloads’ The project goal is the development and space assessment of miniaturised Ku– and Ka-band RF filters integrating a wide-band differential interface for on-board digital signal processors. RF Microtech has been awarded a new ESA ARTES AT project entitled DOMUK – Dielectric-loaded high-power Output de-MUltiplexer at Ku/Ka-band. The project goal is the development of 250 W-class, Ku-band and Ka-band two-channel output de-multiplexers with 240-250 MHz channel bandwidth and 30% footprint reduction with respect to the state of the art. Engineering Models (EM) will be designed, manufactured and tested in relevant environment. RF Microtech at ESA SatCom Final Presentation Days

RF Microtech has successfully concluded two ESA ARTES projects, namely Mignon – Microwave Micromachining Filters and COMFIL- Compact C/Ku Broadband Waveguide Filters,which will be presented at the ESA SatCom Final Presentation Days Based on different technologies, the two projects led to the creation of highly innovative miniaturized filters for space on-board applications. The MIGNON Filters have been produced in Ka-band by combining multilayer and micromachining technologies. Besides being SMT  (Surface Mount Technology) compatible, such filters have the advantages of having a light mass and a very small footprint. In the framework of COMFIL project, novel filters in C- and Ku-bands have been developed, based on the combination of TM dual mode resonators and combline resonators in waveguide technology.
