The conference will take place in Munich from 21 to 24 June 2022. No other event showcases the international ceramics industry in such breadth and depth as this trade show. It covers the full spectrum, from heavy-clay, fine and refractory ceramics through to raw materials, technical ceramics and powder metallurgy.

In the international conference program of Ceramitec 2022, everything revolves around the current topics and trends in the industry.

From possibilities of additive manufacturing to raw materials and process technologies to industrial applications.

We will be participating in a small conference within the Conference Program | Ceramitec 2022 called “AM Ceramics Shortcuts” on applications for 3D-printed ceramic parts.

The AM Ceramics Shortcuts at the Ceramitec take place on the 22 of June, from 10.00 to 12:30 and Luca Pelliccia, our Head of Microwave Filters, will present the RF applications of ceramic additive manufacturing parts used in the microwave, a current project on ceramic-additive manufacturing developed in cooperation with Prof. Anselmi-Tamburini of University of Pavia.

RF Microtech Talk title:

‘‘Ceramic resonators made in additive manufacturing for new generation microwave filters’’

Short abstract

COMFID-CERAMIC-FILTER-RFMICROTECHThis talk will present innovative concepts of compact microwave filters for satellite applications based on ceramic parts made by additive manufacturing techniques. Customs shapes of alumina samples have been studied to develop new types of resonators for a new generation of broadband waveguide and cavity filters. These are much more compact than standard ones and they range from 6GHz to 30GHz. Some prototypes have been fabricated and tested by employing alumina parts fabricated at Lithoz. The results are the outcomes of a couple of ESA ARTES AT projects whose RF Microtech is prime contractor. First results are very promising and new filter samples will be fabricated and tested in next months.

We’ll be waiting at Messe München, one of the largest exhibition companies in the world, on 22  June in the slot at 10:00 “Time to Market: 3D Printing of Ceramics”, during the conference “AM Ceramics Shortcuts”.
