‘High-Performance Dielectric Resonators’ ESA project for the development and space assessment of high performance resonators based on dielectric technology (ESA Artes Advanced Technology, Contract 4000126886/19/NL/MM)   OBJECTIVES To develop and experimentally verify high performance dielectric resonators with a quality factor (Q) times frequency (f) figure of merit (Qxf) of at least 250,000 GHz for use in input and output multiplexers in the frequency range from C- to Ka-band (3 ÷ 30 GHz).  The target is to develop enabling technology for a new source of high Q dielectric resonators and to provide a 25% increase in Q factor with respect to currently available European resonator materials.   TRL Level From 3 to 5   STATUS On-going   PARTNERS   RF microtech s.r.l. EuMCE 2019: RF Microtech exposing the latest innovations

The European Microwave Association (EuMA) is launching the European Microwave Conference in Central Europe (EuMCE), with associated Workshops and an Exhibition. EuMCE is a new series of events, held every two years, visiting the major cities of Central Europe. At the first edition, held in Prague on 13-15 May 2019, RF Microtech will be exhibiting its full range of microwave prototypes and products for SatCom and Space applications. Among the innovations presented at EuMCE 2019 there are: Compact and Low-consumption 2-port Switchable Filter Bank with Tunable Notch Filters from 2GHz to 18GHz Compact Waveguide Bandpass Filters for Broadband Space Applications in C and Ku-Bands. The detailed characteristics and performance of these two devices will be presented at the Conference Monday Session entitled “Advances in microwave filters”. EuMCE will provide an international forum where researchers, scientists and industrialists will have the opportunity to report and discuss on the latest advances in all areas of microwave theory, techniques and technology, with applications in communications, industry, science, medicine, etc, emphasizing on activities specifically developed in and relevant to Central Europe. RF Microtech developing High Power Multiplexers in the framework of a new ESA contract

RF Microtech has been awarded a new ESA ARTES AT project entitled DOMUK – Dielectric-loaded high-power Output de-MUltiplexer at Ku/Ka-band. The project goal is the development of 250 W-class, Ku-band and Ka-band two-channel output de-multiplexers with 240-250 MHz channel bandwidth and 30% footprint reduction with respect to the state of the art. Engineering Models (EM) will be designed, manufactured and tested in relevant environment.
