RF Microtech has realized an innovative and high-performance ultra-wide band filter for H3G Spa and MiSE (Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico of Italy). The custom device has been developed for the wireless network at EXPO2015  in Milan and it has been installed on middle of May. It is a low-loss bandpass filter from 80 MHz up to 6 GHz and includes five high-rejection (40 – 60 dB) notched bands at all telephone mobile communication frequencies below 2.5 GHz. The 6th CNES/ESA International Workshop on Microwave Filters will be held on  23-25 March 2015 in TOULOUSE , France. Co-organised by CNES (Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales) and ESA (European Space Agency), the International Workshop on Microwave Filters addresses the complete development cycle of Microwave Filters, i.e. from filter synthesis to the manufacturing processes. RF Microtech will present the most recent advances on compact high-performance filters for space application based on TM mode dielectric resonator technology and a low-loss and compact E-band diplexer based on micromachined technology. H2020 SME Instrument: SPACEFIT project approved

RF Microtech’s project SPACEFIT (SPAce-CompatiblE- Filters_in_dIelectric waveguide Technology) has been approved by EU Commission for the Phase 1 of H2020 Research for SME Programme, SPACE topic. As an outcome of this project, RF Microtech will be able to introduce into the space market miniaturized and low-mass RF filters and multiplexers in L/S bands based on dielectric waveguide resonators. The proposed technology will lead to a drastic reduction of the resonator dimensions and weight (up to 50%) and cost (up to 20%) while maintaining high performances.
