“METIoT – Full Duplex Steerable Antenna for Mass Market Interactive Terminals” is the full title of the latest RF Microtech project approved by the European Space Agency.
The project objective is the development and experimental verification of a novel class of low cost fully steerable Ka band antenna for SATcom applications based on an innovative use of metasurface technology. The market targeted is IoT where low-power (for battery-run operations) and low-cost are key aspects.
RF Microtech is the main proponent and prime contractor of the project, that will be carried out in collaboration with two other Italian SME operating in the space field, namely WAVE UP and LINKS
